I’ve always really liked boho and rustic decoration styles. It just seems hard to recreate these looks without a huge budget, are there any stores or tricks you’d recommend for getting rooms to look this good on the cheap? thanks for the ideas!

Yes…me too! For Boho, collect the things you LOVE. Beadwork, texture, strong color, fringe fabrics…and rotate to keep it fresh. Best options on the cheap are garage sales, estate sales (awesome for both rustic/vintage and boho), swap meets, flea markets, I’ll be posting more soon about some strategies and specific project ideas for each style. Thanks for your comment!

  2. Wow! Didn’t know there were so many styles of interior decorating until I read this post. Thanks for sharing 🙂

I think I’m more to minimalist because I have two small kids 🙂

You have given me a name for my style ” Scandinavian” Everyone always says I’m ” clinical ” Like a hospital ! Because I like white with just a touch of colour.
So the next time someone comments on my home, I now have a name for my style to throw back at them ! Scandinavian.
Great website, I will follow with interest.

There you go, Paul!! Nice to have some closure, isn’t it? Scandinavian doesn’t have to be “sterile”. Glad you enjoyed the article and thanks for stopping in!
